Edit Selected Barrier

To view the properties of a barrier click the button for the corresponding barrier , then click the "Edit Selected Barrier" button. A window will open displaying the properties shown below. If properties are modified by the user, the barrier type will display "" in front of the type name.

Width

The width of the barrier in the units of measure displayed in the "Barrier" edit window (feet or meters).

Height

The barrier average height in the units of measure displayed in the "Barrier" edit window (feet or meters).

Area

The total area of the barrier is displayed in the units of measure displayed in the "Barrier" edit window (acres or hectares). This is not an editable field, but is calculated from other values (barrier width x field length).

Porosity

Barrier porosity is an optical porosity. It is the open space as viewed looking perpendicular to the barrier expressed as a fraction of the total area i.e: (1.0 - silhouette area).
