Interface OrientableCurve

All Superinterfaces:
Geometry, OrientablePrimitive, Primitive, TransfiniteSet
All Known Subinterfaces:
CompositeCurve, Curve, Ring

@UML(identifier="GM_OrientableCurve",
     specification=ISO_19107)
public interface OrientableCurve
extends OrientablePrimitive

A curve and an orientation inherited from OrientablePrimitive. If the orientation is positive, then the OrientableCurve is a curve. If the orientation is negative, then the OrientableCurve is related to another curve with a parameterization that reverses the sense of the curve traversal.

Method Detail

getBoundary

@UML(identifier="boundary",
     obligation=MANDATORY,
     specification=ISO_19107)
CurveBoundary getBoundary()
Returns an ordered pair of points, which are the start point and end point of the curve. If the curve is closed, then the boundary shall be empty.

Specified by:
getBoundary in interface Geometry
Specified by:
getBoundary in interface Primitive
Returns:
The sets of positions on the boundary.

getPrimitive

@Association(value="Oriented")
@UML(identifier="primitive",
     obligation=OPTIONAL,
     specification=ISO_19107)
Curve getPrimitive()
Returns the primitive associated with this OrientableCurve.

Specified by:
getPrimitive in interface OrientablePrimitive
Returns:
The primitive, or null if the association is not available or not implemented that way.
See Also:
Curve.getProxy()

getComposite

@Association(value="Composition")
@UML(identifier="composite",
     obligation=OPTIONAL,
     specification=ISO_19107)
CompositeCurve getComposite()
Returns the owner of this orientable curve. This method is optional since the association in ISO 19107 is navigable only from CompositeCurve to OrientableCurve, not the other way.

Specified by:
getComposite in interface Primitive
Returns:
The owner of this orientable curve, or null if the association is not available or not implemented that way.

CompositeCurve.getGenerators()
