Process: Add Manure Residue Amount (P 66)
Allows the addition of manure to a field. Since manure is simulated as a residue, it contains specific parameters to allow the addition of manure and the process converts it to an equivalent residue that provides similar cover benefits for erosion control and appropriate decomposition rates. Its parameters are:
- Number of Standing Residue Stems
- Number of standing residue (manure) stems added per unit area.
- Standing Residue Height
- Height of added standing residue (manure) stems.
- Standing Residue mass
- Mass of added standing residue (manure) stems.
- Flat Surface Residue Mass
- Mass of flat residue (manure) added per unit area.
- Residue Size/Toughness Class
- Flatten Standing Biomass
- Buried Residue Mass
- Mass of added buried manure.
- Buried Residue Mass
- Maximum depth of added buried manure.
- Root Residue Mass
- Mass of added root residue (manure) per unit area.
- Root Residue Depth
- Maximum depth of added root residue (manure).
- Total Manure Applied
- Total mass per unit area of manure applied.
- Fraction of Total Manure Buried
- Fraction of total mass of manure that is buried.
