Soil File Menu

The File menu displays a drop down list of various operations pertaining to Soil. The File menu contains the following options:

• New: Opens an empty, unnamed soil screen (Ctrl-N).
• Open…: Displays an "Open a Soil File" dialog box from which the user can select a soil (ifc) file from those in the current Project (Ctrl-O).
• Open Database: Opens the Select Soil window to select a soil from a file, local database residing on your computer or from the NRCS SSURGO (NASIS) database (Ctrl-L).
• Save: Saves the current file (Ctrl-S).
• Save As…: Saves the current soil file to a new name in the current Project directory (Ctrl-A).
• Save As Template…: Save the current soil file to a new name in the default soil database directory location (Ctrl-T).
• Print: Opens a print dialog window to allow printing the soil file table display (Ctrl-P).
• Exit: Exits the soil interface (Alt-F4).
