Process: Single Irrigation (P 73)

This process simulates the application of water for a single day. The amount, type of irrigation, etc. can be specified based upon the parameters associated with this process. Of the two, rate and duration, only one needs to be specified. The other will then be derived by the science model. Its parameters are:

Depth of Water Applied
Amount of irrigation water to apply.

Rate of Water Application
Rate at which irrigation water is applied.

Duration of Water Application
Duration for which irrigation water is applied.

Application Height to Soil Surface
Height above surface (positive values) or depth below surface (negative values) that water is applied.
