Manure application, surface broadcast application of solid or semi-solid manure. User input, type of material and amount of dry matter applied.
Example: 10 ton/ac as applied material, measured 35% moisture ((10 X 2000) X (1-0.35)) = 13000 lb/ac dry matter applied.

Created from RUSLE file MAS 9/19/06.
This assumes a defult residue type of manure solid significant bedding and the RUSLE may contain some bedding.
User may need to change to the correct manure type, make a calulation on the dry matter applied, and change the application rate in MCREW.
This opn is built for an application of 10 ton/ac 60% dry matter surface applied manure.
10 tons x 2000 lbs/ac = 20,000 lbs/ac x 0.6 = 12,000 DM lbs/ac applied.

Applied residue type, when spreading manure with significant bedding, enter dry weight in lbs/ac. Manure spreader used to apply significant bedding manure is the spreader used for semi-solid or solid manure. All of material remains on the surface until incorporated by tillage. Examples include solid manure types with a very high level of bedding such as straw or sawdust.
